their life, protecting the ideals
for which our nation stands. The
memory of their sacrifice;

all wars, who endured unimaginable
anguish and pain to protect the
honor of our great nation. Our

even fly the American flag in
public, yet you served the cause

and peace-loving people everywhere. You walked through the mud of the base camps and sickly-sweet stench of the mass graves. Your courage, your honor, and
your sacrifices on behalf of your
country are respected by all.

VETERANS OF KOREA
Over five million Americans fought
and served during the Korean War.
Many still patrol the DMZ at the
risk of their lives. We honor
you for your sacrifices. We honor
you for the pain you suffered
in the cold, in the heat, and
in the futility of that "political
war." You were courageous in battle,
and compassionate in victory.
I hope the people of Korea remember
the sacrifices made by so many
brave American men and women who
helped save the Republic of Korea
from Communist occupation and
bring the nation to where it is
today.

Visiting The Wall will
not bring closure. There can be
no closure for the experience
of Vietnam. It may however bring
peace. The kind of peace we fought
for. The kind we are still seeking.

A WARRIORS BELIEF
I have lived by the sword.
My honor is my shield.
My strength is my word.
My word is my bond.
On the field of battle, or at
peace in my prayers, I am but
a servant of my Nation's desire
for justice. I will serve through
adversity, peace, or war.
For duty, honor, and courage are
the essence of my being. Inherited
from the warriors of the past,
practiced by the warriors of today,
and a legacy which will be passed
on to the warriors of the future.
I am a warrior. My spirit is infinite.
